Mechuwana's COVID-19 protocols are constantly changing alongside the pandemic. Since the start of the pandemic, Mechuwana has experienced financial hardship like never before. Thanks to our many generous donors, we are able to keep our doors open to continue serving our local community as well as the greater Mechuwana community. Summer 2021 UpdateIn 2021, we were excited to welcome back some of the Mechuwana community through our limited day camp programing! In 2021, we offered seven weeks of Adventure Day Camp for children ages 5 to 10 as well as Specialty Day Camps for older youth. Not only that, we scaled back, but still continuted our meal program that supported local families during the 2020 season!

Summer 2020 UpdateDuring the summer of 2020, Mechuwana became a pandemic food site that feed hundreds of families across Central Maine! While we unfortunately had to pause our normal summer offerings, we did welcome back a small group of staff members, pictured above, who quarantined on property to make thousands of bagged meals for local families throughout the summer.
