We are excited for the first rally of the season, for all youth in Grades 6-12, on September 26-28 at Mechuwana. Download your registration form and information here. And don't forget, it's our annual t-shirt auction, so go through your closets and find some t-shirts you no longer wear, wash them, and pack them in your bag to raise money for Mechuwana's youth program. Also pack some clothes you don't mind getting dirty as we are going to get camp ready for winter with some projects around the property.

Mechuwana is so thankful for all of the missons campers and staff who have been working on the third retreat building. Here is a picture from earlier this week - as you can see, progress is coming along quickly thanks to the dedication and hard work of so many!

From all of us at Camp Mechuwana, we want to send a sincere THANK YOU to the United Methodist Foundation for their rapid response grant of $1,500 that we recently received. This money was used to put a heating and cooling system into the new yurt! We are grateful to the Foundation for their support of Mechuwana's ministry. With the cold winter upon us and some hot, sunny summer days ahead, we know that the heating and cooling system will make the yurt a very popular space for groups of all ages and sizes in the years to come. Are you in Grades 8-12 and want to volunteer at an elementary camp or Adult Special Needs camp this summer? Then please click here to download a registration form and plan to attend one of two youth leader trainings at Mechuwana this spring. You have to attend one of the trainings in order to become a Youth Leader (scholarships are available). So, sign up today and plan to come to camp to learn about teamwork, volunteering, and the importance of Youth Leaders as a part of Mechuwana's ministry. We look forward to seeing you on either Saturday, March 23 or Sunday, March 24. With these cold temperatures this week, it sure is nice to think about a week of warm weather and sunshine at Mechuwana!

We are delighted that so many junior and senior high youth have signed up to join us at Mechuwana for our annual New Year's Eve celebration. This event has been happening for more than 15 years, and it is a great way to ring in the New Year. We are sorry to say that registration is now closed, but hope that you all have a safe and happy New Year!

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us on Saturday, July 28, 2012 for Open House and Alumni Day. Camp will be open for the afternoon for old friends, new friends, and anyone who wants to come spend time at Mechuwana. Activities will begin at 1:00 p.m., then join us for worship at 4:00 p.m., including a message by Rev. Joan DeSanctis. Come walk the new Julio DeSanctis Peace Path, take a tour of camp, see the new Lodge roof, and more. Then stay for worship and dinner in the Commons. We hope to see you there.
