October Rally is off and running, and we are all having a great time. We started off with some ice breaker games, including the crowd pleasing key game. Before bed we sang some silly songs and had our worship. After saying our goodnights we went to rest up for the next day’s activities. Waking up for a delicious breakfast, made by our lovely kitchen staff, made the early morning a lot more bearable. After breakfast we broke off into our service project groups and got some much needed work done. Some projects included preparing the garden for winter, clearing our new cross-country ski trail, cleaning up after camps, and cleaning up the work site of our two new cabins. Shout out to the 29er’s for getting them built, thanks a bunch. After our work was done we had our anual T-shirt auction, making over 100 dollars for the Mechuwana Youth Program. Next we played some capture the flag and basketball, or made some crafts out of our new T-shirts. Lunch was made up of chicken patty sandwiches and curly fries. Theme time was after lunch and we had a series of activities focussing on this weeks theme of “Love Your Neighbor.” Next we sang songs and then got ready for dinner and the dance. The dance is fantastic and everyone is having an amazing time.
