We are sad to announce that on Friday, September 9, 2011, Mechuwana lost a dear friend. Julio DeSanctis passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. We are so thankful for his years of ministry at camp and over many years as a chaperone at youth events around the state and throughout the Northeast Jurisdiction. He and his bus took many youth to national youth events over the years. He and his wife, Rev. Joan DeSanctis, and their children Julio and Francesca, also spent many summers at camp on staff.
